We are working on our Rash Guard (or athletic top!) today. Today’s task is to sew the front and back, sleeves, and side seams. You can find today’s video HERE.

I have made several rash guards from this pattern for sun protection and swimming, but I also wanted to let you know that it makes a pretty awesome work out top. I do not like to run in tops that are loose and flopping everywhere. For that matter, I do not like to do yoga in tops that are loose and going everywhere because that means that in just a few minutes into the session, my shirt is in my face! So, a fitted top is PERFECT for being active, and this pattern is just the right fitted for just that.

I made this particular one out of Greenstyle’s Swift 260 fabric. It is a great weight for leggings and is not so thick that it doesn’t work for tops too! I love how it feels and plan to wear this to run in this fall! This particular color is Forest Green, and it has just a slight hint of blue in it.

It matches at least 5 or 6 pairs of leggings in my closet, and this means this color is really versatile (and has nothing to do with me having too many pairs of leggings!!!)

If you have not picked up fabric yet, Greenstyle has a 15% discount on this fabric as well as ABP using the codee WaimeaSALfabric.
