Hello friends! Are you ready for another sew along? The pattern I have picked for our next sewing adventure together is the Greenstyle Whistler Jacket. This post has all the details, as well as a video and discount information! This pattern makes such a nice spring jacket, and I am so excited to get started next week.

When and Where

The sew along will run from April 6th through the 11th and will be held in Fabric Fairy Facebook Sewing Group.

Supplies

If you have not already grabbed your copy, you can grab it here. Use code “WhistlerSAL” for 25% off the pattern now through April 11th.

Listen to my video HERE, where I talk about supplies as well as I show you the pattern pieces and other random things to think about so you can be prepared next week. Even if you are prepared, you can still jump over and listen to me say hello and make sure to leave me a comment and let me know if this video is helpful (or if you have any feedback!)

The Fabric Fairy is also offering 10% off all supplies you need for the sew along, just use code “greenstyleSAL” through April 12th on your orders. The jacket in this post is made using the Carbon White Stretch Woven combined with a new fabric that will be coming to the shop soon named Flow Boardshort.

The Schedule

Here is what next week’s schedule will look like:

Prizes

One winner will be chosen at random from those who have participated. The prize is a free pattern to Greenstyle Creations and a $30 credit to The Fabric Fairy!

Resources

  1. Great places to buy separating zippers are Amazon, Wawak, and Zipperstop
  2. Eyelets and Eyelet press
  3. Main Fabric suggestions: Stretch woven from Fabric Fairy or The Styled Magnolia, Ponte from Fabric Fairy or Joanns, Softshell Fleece, Bamboo Fleece, Scuba, Quilted Knit from here or here, French Terry, or any stable knit fabric with low stretch. If you use a fabric that is not from the Fairy Fairy, you can still participate in the sew along, just please do not advertise the company you use if posting in their group 🙂
  4. If you do ribbing for the cuffs, the nice heavyweight stuff can be found here or here. Also, an athletic knit or supplex works great for cuffs and the bottom band.
  5. Washaway Wonder Tape and Wonderclips

I can’t wait to get started!
