I have a fun pair of Super G Tights to show you today!! Ok, OK! I know, you are thinking, “How many leggings do you have?” Well, obviously not enough because I didn’t have a pair of ombre striped leggings. So, there is that.

I told you about how much I loved The Styled Magnolia Yoga base fabric last month in this post. I have wanted to make another pair of tights out of it ever since and knew that the next time I got my hands on some, I would make a pair of Super G Tights from Greenstyle. The stretch and recovery on this fabric is just amazing so I knew I would love it in Super Gs. It didn’t disappoint, of course, and now, next on my list is to make a matching Power Sports Bra out of my scraps.

I have to point out to you how cool this gusset is…

Just in case that photo did not do this gusset justice, here are a few even more awkward photos. You’re welcome.

So, why do I love the Yoga Base at The Styled Magnolia? Let me count the ways… It (1) breathes, (2) has high spandex content, (3) isn’t thick, (4) dries insanely fast, and (5) comes in the most fantastic custom prints (and of course a few pretty solids).

I am wearing a Greenstyle Xpress Tank and Power Bra with my new Tights. This particular Power Bra is one I made out of supplex and blogged about here. The pink tank is one I made during testing last year. You can read that post here. It is now a size too big so I tie it a little tighter and still wear it. I need to make some more… 🙂 Hooray for postpartum weight loss. It is amazing to see how far I have come in 16 months. All I can say is “Praise the Lord!”

What do you think of the ombre stripes? Would you make yours go in the other direction? Or use a different waistband or gusset? What pair of tights (or a top?) are you going to make with yours?

This fabric is stocking tonight at 7 pm CST. You can grab some at retail if you are fast. If you are slow, though, don’t worry because a preorder for it will immediately open after the retail stock sells out. You can find out all the information in The Styled Magnolia Facebook group and can purchase on The Styled Magnolia website

Disclosures

I received the patterns that I used in this blogpost for free when they were in testing as part of the pattern testing process to give the designer feedback about the instructions and fit of the pattern. This post also may contain affiliate links, which means I receive a small compensation when you purchase via my link. This does not cost you anything, and I appreciate the support. Any and all opinions expressed are still my own.

I received the fabric for my tights for free (after paying for shipping). Thankfully,  I am the same size as Meagan, the owner of The Styled Magnolia so when she miscut a pair of leggings for herself out of this fabric, she sent them to me in one of my orders and then started over on her tights!! Yay!
