Hello dear friends! I have another pattern to show you from the book Sew Beautiful that is releasing next month. The ebook and physical book are available as a preorder now. Yesterday I showed you the Palermo I made, and today, I have an Orosi top! The book includes a total of 8 patterns in all with multiple variations and options on each.

I love the details on the Orosi pattern and hope you love the version I made as much as I do!

The Orosi is a v neck or scarf neck top or dress pattern. As a top, it has a high-low gathered peplum that is so chic and cute! I LOVE the scarf feature and think this is a perfect cool-weather top. If you do not want a scarf feature or do not have enough fabric for it, there is also a v neckband option included.

I absolutely love the way the peplum gathering does not add inches to my waist and is so flattering. I also love where the length of the top version lands on me. It is not too short that it shows my belly button when I lift my arms and not so long that it distorts my proportions. (Note: I am 5’2″ with a normal length torso and shorter legs.)

I LOVE having knit patterns that are comfortable to wear like a t shirt but have interesting details that amplify them to look more put together. These are also my favorite patterns to use solids on so that the detail can shine, rather than a busy print.

This particular fabric is Double Brushed Polyester (DBP) from Knitpop. It is warm and soft and stable to sew with. I also love how it handled the gathering by draping nicely over my stomach rather than sticking out.

I thought the scarf aspect was going to be complicated to sew, but it was rather straightforward. The instructions in the pattern were very detailed, and I never felt lost through the process. I was able to make the top in an entire evening!

The pattern also includes a dress option if you prefer dresses to tops.

The Sew Beautiful Book is available in two formats:

Disclosures

I received this pattern for free to show how it looks sewn up. I do not have an affiliate link for this pattern.

My husband took photos of this one, and he was being a flirt so I ended up with more outtakes than normal. Haha!
