Welcome to Day 3 of the Great Tank Sew Along! I am so happy you have joined me and can’t wait to see the tank(s) you sew this week. For today’s post, I am sewing the Lacy Slope tank and have a video showing how I made this tank!

If you haven’t grabbed the tank top pattern that you need yet, enjoy 25% off any Greenstyle Tank Top Pattern through July 21st with code “GreatTankSAL”

sew a tank with binding and a sloped hem

The Lacy Slope is one of the first Greenstyle Patterns that I purchased (along with the Brassie joggers!). I have made it in the winter with a hood and also love to wear the tank version of the pattern in the summer. This pattern comes in three different lengths, all of which are especially great for covering my bottom in leggings at the gym. I made the shortest length included in the pattern for the top I am showing you today. I love the loose comfy fit in this pattern. I usually always grab this pattern when I have a knit that doesn’t have a lot of stretch. It is especially great for t shirt jerseys knits.

The pattern has instructions for facings to finish the neck and arms, but in the video, I demonstrate how I use a DOUBLE fold binding to finish the tank.

Let’s jump into today’s video, you can find it HERE.

If you prefer the look or feel of single fold binding or have a coverstitch, you can see Sarah’s SINGLE fold binding tutorial here.
